Today, in an all new session of THE READING ROOM, we are going to review ‘Happily Murdered’ by Rasleen Syal.

·        Book Description

Some nights steal your sleep, some take you to a different world.
Here’s a tribute to a night that gave a girl a life and took it away
the same night! Yes, she was happily murdered on her wedding night.

Who killed her? Why did they do this? When did this happen and how come no one noticed it?

·        My View

The book unfolds the mystery of the murder of Gulab Sarin that took place on her wedding night at her residence. The title Happily
Murdered sounds fishy to me, and the book is packed with suspense,
turning it to a page turner.

Rasleen Syal’s imagination and her way with words have helped Gulab Sarin hold a place in the reader’s heart for the misfortune of being killed on the day her dream came true!

The story, though revolves around a few days following Gulab’s death, the gripping storyline and brilliant storytelling skills together take the reader on a hair raising journey as each suspect is interrogated and analysed. Very strong characterisation and a beautiful way of bringing in the concept of ‘life after death’ has made the book a success in triggering the curiosity and fear in the reader.

As a reader, at times I got impatient to know the climax. A shocking
climax awaits you! This is a well planned murder portrayed in words to bring you chills!

Grab a copy and get yourself goosebumped as you read each incident that reveals the secret of how she was Happily Murdered.
